The Mayor of Puck District, Tadeusz Puszkarczuk will pay a visit to Gorey during the PolskaÉire Gorey Festival 2019.
Mr. Tadeusz Puszkarczuk, accepted the invitation from the Gorey Municipal District authorities and together with the councilor Przemysław Grandicki, the chairmen of the Puck District Education, Culture, Sport and Tourism Committee, will be visiting Gorey. The visit of local government officials from Puck will take place between 7-10 June and coincide with this year’s edition of the PolskaÉire Festival. One of the goals of the visit is to exchange experiences, mainly in the fields of education and culture, agriculture and business.
It is worth recalling that during last year’s PolskaÉire Festival, a letter of intent was signed in the field of cultural cooperation between the Gorey Municipal District and the Culture, Sport and Tourism Center in Puck District. This agreement resulted in the exchange of photo exhibitions in 2018. In Gorey, we had the opportunity to host the exhibition of Mr. Jan Dettlaff photography entitled ‘Moje Oblicza Kaszub’ and in Puck, during the inauguration of the Cultural Year there was a vernissage of the exhibition entitled ‘My Home, Your Home’ by Gorey photographer Joseph Dixon.
This year’s festival will include the performance of folk musicians from Puck, Krzysztof Kortals and his talented son Filip, who will not only play and sing but also will bring us closer to the culture and traditions of this beautiful region of Kashubia.
The performance will take place on June 8 in the Function Room of The Coach House Pub during the ‘Irish-Polish Folk Night’.
