Irish-Polish Folk Night, PolskaÉire Festival 2022 in Gorey
The Irish-Polish Folk Night is a tuneful return to our musical roots and an opportunity to strengthen Irish-Polish ties through traditional and folk music.
Representing Poland – The Kierpecki Band.
These musicians were truly born with highlands’ music in their veins! They not only share the love for folk music but also for their ancestors’ tradition. The band comes from the Beskid region, in the South of Poland. Their music reflects the folk tunes of Żywiec and Podhale regions and portrays musical heritage from other parts of Poland. They enjoy the good craic of Polish feast songs!
Representing Ireland – The Púcas
The Púcas – one of Ireland’s top ballad and folk bands, known for their varied set and great banter. Belting out some of the greatest Irish music from bands such as The Dubliners, The Fury’s, Stockton’s Wing, they bring all the pub classics with a modern twist.
The Púcas are a great live band, full of energy and up for the Craic.
Each band member offers his own style to the group, resulting in a distinct sound that guarantees fantastic entertainment.
